October 4, 2022 - Finally an UPDATE!
It has been almost 8 months since Dutch Sheets shared on the February 17 Give Him 15 about the Mercy Coin. Hundreds of orders streamed in that day, and we realized that the demand was so great that we would need to have more coins produced right away. However, due to several things that were out of our control, production of the coins could not move forward. We have since discovered three causes that brought our supply chain to a standstill. First, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, that touched all world markets...especially precious metals. Second, shutdowns and new regulations regarding gold and gold processing in California. And third, federal interaction and intervention in non-governmental coin production.
On May 25, we reached an agreement with our supplying mint that they would ship us whatever coins they might be able to produce, no matter how little an amount, as soon as possible. This resulted in a slow trickle of coins, which were immediately processed and shipped. But as of our June 16, 2022 update, only six-hundred coins total, had been received and mailed out. Since June 16, we have received coins approximately every 20-30 days, which we have attempted to mail to customers in the order that their orders were placed. This is a painfully slow roll-out, but it's as fast as we are able to move because of product availability. This week we received 300 coins, the most we have received at one time since 2019! These are currently being packaged to mail out, so hold the line...things are moving!
One additional note. Our customer service has been very poor, as our phone line is constantly jammed and our voicemail system is saving calls in an archive that we are unable to access. We have also attempted to send out several emails to all our customers, but many of you are not receiving them because they are being filtered out as spam. Our encouragement to you is simply...please don't give up! We continue to trust that together we might contend for fulfillment of each and every order. Once again, as the coins arrive, we will pack and ship them and you will receive notification they have shipped and a tracking number.
As a reminder, remember that Dutch Sheets Ministries is in no way responsible for, or able to resolve the issues with our supplier. They have been very supportive and gone beyond the call of duty, fielding calls and emails that should never have been their responsibility, and we are very grateful.
